Pretty practical cutting board that seems softer on my Japanese knives. Good size but not light.

This is an amazing board and fun to use. It's a great size for food prep and has been really gentle on my nigara knives. It makes a very satisfying sound like in the videos! Function aside it's a beautiful statement piece for the counter. Unfortunately mine developed a few cracks in the joins and started splitting but Gage was amazing to deal with, helped me navigate the warranty and shipped a replacement no fuss. It's been an overall great pleasure so I've ordered two more boards to gift to friends. Great cutting board and greater team and Sharp Knife Shop.

Just gorgeous, which is why I purchased it. It’s slightly smaller than my prior cutting board, which was the America’s Test Kitchen’s best pick for cutting board for years. But it was worth a slight downsize for how stunning it is and how helpful this woodgrain will be for edge retention on my knives. In the past, I refused to get an end grain cutting board because I just didn’t like how they looked aesthetically (I leave my large cutting board out on the counter at all times, so aesthetics is important to me). This is perfect, it’s aesthetically beautiful, and it’s the better quality board that I wanted. Highly recommend!

THE perfect first father's day gift for my husband who just bought Japanese knives and is our primary cook of the house. Incredible. Sturdy, gorgeous, perfectly smooth all around. My knives love it. I don't usually like feet on my boards, but since I opted to not have handle slots it kind of worked out to where I didn't need them, given the little space under. I've been hunting a large, roomy, robust end-grain board and this delivers. After shopping and teetering between this and a Boos (for about 50% more..) I went with this and I'm none disappointed. If you're on the fence go ahead and snag one of these.

I received a Larchwood board for Christmas this past year. Within a week of regular use at home the board developed a crack along the edge. Oh no! Right? Yes, well. I reached out to Sharp and immediately they were like hey sorry this happened, here's the tracking info for your new board. I guess what I'm saying is that their customer service is exceptional. If you're looking to add to your kitchen collection I would highly recommend buying something from these guys. Also, their YouTube videos are super helpful as well. We love this cutting board. Not only is it beautiful (it looks great on the counter), but it offers a far better user experience than any other cutting board we use. We have a few knives from Sharp, and those knives plus this cutting board make the perfect team.

After buying the one hander, I had to up the size to do more prep work. I feel good every time I use it and enjoy going with it! This is the perfect size for me cause it’s not too huge or small!

The Larchwood boards at the Sharp Knife Shop are really, really wonderful. They are relatively easy to care for, look absolutely fantastic, and really do the job. This larger board gives ample room to do more complex tasks. I look forward bigger cooking projects now because of this board. I highly recommend it!
This is the best cutting board I've ever purchased, I would recommend getting the Larch Wood conditioner as well to protect it long term.

I bought this Larch cutting board with end grain wood in order to offer a smoother surface for my Japanese knife. It is recommended to use a softer wood cutting board with Japanese knife due to their thin edge blade. This beautiful Larch board is great for that and looks gorgeous, which makes cutting not only practical but pleasant as well. I highly recommend this product.
Love this cutting board! Been eyeing one for a year or so and finally pulled the trigger. So glad I did! Love the feel of it, love the sound of it, love the size. Nothing I don’t love about it.
First of all - it is beautiful! But it is equally well made and of great quality. I have been chopping away and it makes my prep work a joy. I even look forward to conditioning it.
Beautiful cutting board. Easy to maintain. The wood grain covers up minor scuffs, and maintains a great balance of being easy on knife edges, without wearing down from cutting. Great board. I'm tempted to look at a larchwood butcher block section on my counter when I redo them.
Been looking for a light colored cutting board for a very long time but never was able to find one I really wanted to buy till I came across these. After seeing them in most of the YouTube videos from this site, I finally pulled the trigger and I couldn’t be any happier this cutting board is gorgeous and it’s truly a piece of art in the kitchen

Great quality and when chopping has an amazing sound when cutting. Been cutting for a couple days now and my knives has been keeping its edge without using a honer. The look of the board is beautiful and when cutting on the board with my knife it doesn’t feel like any other boards I’ve been cutting on before. Great finish on the board and makes me want to cut for fun on this board
Weird to say, but this is my dream cutting board. I'm just a home cook, but I spend a lot of time cooking and looking down at my cutting board, so I thought I'd get the nicest cutting board I've seen. It's a piece of functional art and so far seems pretty good on my knives. I would have liked to get the large size, but I don't really have the counter space for it. The medium is a good size though. The board is louder than previous boards I've used, I think because of the rubber feet lifting it up. Overall, I'm really happy with the board and service from Sharp! Shipping was fast too.
The Larchwood cutting boards are the best!! Watching their video and what it takes to make one really makes you appreciate the style and feel of this fine tool…!!! The craftsmanship on this cutting board is immaculate and looks fantastic sitting on the counter. The rubber feet prevent it from moving around and the thickness provides a stable platform for food prep. Also, the board conditioner is a must-have. It's super easy to apply to keep the cutting board hydrated and looking great!
So far this is the board of my dreams and made in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The wood is flat, nice thickness, non slip feet. The sound the knife makes as it hits the board is beautiful. Will be looking to buy a smaller one soon. Great value on a forever product.
