Exactly what I was hoping for!
Maintenance. Maintenance matters. For years I thought that using a strop was overkill as if it couldn’t possibly improve a knife’s performance. I was wrong. Months ago I began to strop weekly and my knives are staying sharp before I need to “touch them up” with a whetstone. The strop from Sharp Knife Shop does the job; its length is sufficient, and the two sides give us options. I highly recommend it.
It's well built with thick leather. It took a sharp knife out of the box to crazy sharp
These are great strops! I have a couple of them. One with compound on the suede side, and one just plain jane. I find the plain jane one perfect for my Japanese knives, and one with polishing compound perfect for shaving. The quality is good.
Who would of thought that a strop really does keep your knives in tiptop shape between sharpenings. Having just bought a new knife, I've been a little cautious taking them to a whetstone. The strop does the job. It is a great finishing tool.

I like the leather strop. I used it to touch up some of my knives. I have a smaller one that I use on my woodcarving tools so I have some experience with strops.
Used this at the training and it worked great!
High quality product, i love maintaining my knifes and keeping that really sharp edge. Ive used this in combination with a stone and ceramic honing rod and finishing with the rough side does an amazing job polishing the edge of my knifes making my cuts smooth. If you don't wish to buy 2- 3 stones this is a good choice.
