This is a great stone for flattening my whetstones and keeping everything flat and ready for the next usage. I always flatten using this stone before and after every use to get the best results. The price is relatively cheap compared to other flattening stones and is overall a good purchase.
Your sharping stones shouldn’t be able to hold soup like a dish. If they do that, this flatting stone will have them flat in no time!
I haven’t had the pleasure of using the product yet!!!
Great tool, nicely restored my 1000 grit stone to flat, seemed to also improve stones removal of knife metal making sharpening faster. Should have got it sooner.
I purchased the beginner kit that had this stone flattener. Instead of using it on waterstones, I flattened a couple of old Arkansas stones that I've had for 40+ years. They had never been flattened before. One was a Washita which is the softest and was quite dished in the middle. It did a wonderful job on them!!
I'm glad I bought this. Having sharpened a few knives, I could already see the stones were not level. I've decided to use it after each sharpening to keep everything in good shape
