Nice smooth felt. It doesn’t catch on the sides and completely covers the blade. Very well thought out product.

Great fit for the knife.
Knife guard is tight, the inside is padded which makes the knife slide in with ease and stays snug within. The outside is made of a tough, durable plastic capable of protecting the fragile edge of my makoto kurasaki bunka that I got it for. It is definitely a must buy if you are looking to protect an expensive knife and its edge. Be advised that it comes in different sizes so you should pay attention to buy the correct size.
Knife guards are important. Knife guards are not a glamorous tool. But without them your knife can be damaged, especially in shipping or travel to sharpening. I've found these (I've bought a variety of sizes) guards do the job really well. Other guards can be too firm, others too flimsy. The Sharp Knife Shop guards are just right. I highly recommend them.

Thought these were foam almost by the picture but are hard plastic with felt inside to protect your knives. They are perfect and there is no need to buy anything else to protect your knife, this does the trick and then some. Love it!
These are great, especially if you don't have a magnetic strip to hold your knives. Even if you do, buy one for the knife you keep on your counter. They are especially great for traveling if you don't have a bag or only intend on bringing one knife.

Doesn’t really fit the knife well. It was advertised for petty knives up to 150mm however it’s really tight on the knife. Kinda scary to slide the cover on or off.
